Study in Mexico

From the streets of Mexico City to the beaches of Cancun, Mexico has much to offer international students . You could be forgiven for being slightly overshadowed by its neighbor to the north - the U.S. - But in fact it has retained a character entirely its own culture . It also has a very important economy - the second largest in Latin America (after Brazil ) - and is included in the group of ' Timbi " of countries ( Turkey, India , Brazil and Indonesia) , set to replace the BRIC "nations as the fastest growing economies in the world. With a strong higher education system and growing to match its expanding economy , Mexico is definitely a destination for study abroad worth considering . Institution highest ranking in Mexico 2012/13 QS World University Rankings is the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM ) , at 146. Next are the Tecnológico de Monterrey ( = 306 ) and the University of Guadalajara ( 501-550 ) - and a total of 10 Mexican institutions appear in the top 700 in the world ranking . In regional terms, Mexico represents an important part of the best universities in Latin America. About 50 Mexican universities are included in the top 300 companies in the region in the QS university rankings 2013 : Latin America - only Brazil has more.
